I am a graduate of Williams College (B.A. in religion ’89) and the University of Chicago Divinity School (M. Div ’97), and have served for 11 years as a parish priest, and 9 as a university chaplain, I completed my Ph.D dissertation at Syracuse University in 2013 in continental philosophy of religion and spirituality under the direction of Dr. John D. Caputo. I have over ten years of training in spiritual direction and a keen interest in the principles and practices of Ignatian spirituality and contemplative prayer. I am an avid walker, errant photographer, and lover of twangy folk music.
I resigned from my two pastoral positions at Church of the Epiphany Trumansburg and The Episcopal Church at Cornell in the spring of 2018 in order to follow my wife Sarah’s call to First Christian Church in Wadsworth, Ohio where she will be senior pastor.
